Untangle Your Mind

Contemplation

When you lose yourself in this love, you will find everything — Rumi

"Lose yourself.

Lose yourself in this love.

When you lose yourself in this love, you will find everything.

Lose yourself.

Lose your self.

Do not fear this loss,

For you will rise from the earth and embrace the endless heavens.

Lose yourself.

Lose yourself.

Escape from this earthly form,

For this body is a chain and you are its prisoner.

Smash through the prison wall and walk outside with the kings and princes.

Lose yourself.

Lose yourself at the foot of the glorious King.

When you lose yourself before the King,

You will become the King.

Lose yourself.

Lose yourself.

Escape from the black cloud that surrounds you.

Then you will see your own light as radiant as the full moon.

Now enter that silence.

This is the surest way to lose yourself..."

What is your life about, anyway?

Nothing but a struggle to be someone,

Nothing but a running from your own silence.

Over the years this life has shaped a persona; a mind. And you have come to believe that you are this mind. This person.

A sentient thing, but a thing nonetheless. Having taken up this mistaken identity you suffer. The desires and the fears, the cravings and the anxieties, they're all for this identity. For me and mine.

If you yearn for peace, for a certain Union that you know exists, you must first lose this 'self'. So,

"Lose yourself.

Lose yourself in this love.

When you lose yourself in this love, you will find everything."

This Love that you must lose yourself in is not the usual love of someone or something. You may start with that because love itself is always pure. And, in truth, always for the Beloved. But you must see this clearly.

Sit with it in silence. What is it that you truly love? Is your love really for this lifespan? A single bloodline?

A race? A species? No! Those boundaries came later, with the mind. As you lose yourself in this Love, it will grow to encompass everything.

This is the love of being. The love of existence. Not your existence or my existence, but Existence itself. The pure, simple, joyous, all-embracing love of just being.

"Lose yourself.

Lose your self.

Do not fear this loss,

For you will rise from the earth and embrace the endless heavens.

Lose yourself.

Lose yourself.

Escape from this earthly form,

For this body is a chain and you are its prisoner.

Smash through the prison wall and walk outside with the kings and princes."

Do you know what this chain is made of?

Just a single thought! The 'me' thought. And the prison wall is all that is taken to be mine. So, to break out of this body all you need is to cut through that one root thought.

Pierce it with this love. Give yourself to your Beloved. Let the mind surrender to the Heart and say, "There is no me. There is only You!"

"Lose yourself.

Lose yourself at the foot of the glorious King.

When you lose yourself before the King,

You will become the King."

When you lose yourself, when that belief in me dissolves, immediately in a flash you will find what is truly You. There will be no loss.

You will find that the extent of what you are was never limited to the body. You were never in it. The persona; the concept of me, was completely wrong in scope! The sensations are You.

The colors are You. The sounds, the emotions, music, the sky! All You! And this Love too, it emanates from You.

The love is for your own True Nature, Your love is for Sentience itself. This Love is for Reality itself. That Reality which is present even prior to consciousness; prior to the advent of experience. Which allows for experience to arise.

Allows for existence; for truth, beauty, love. The glorious Supreme Reality. When you lose yourself, the separation ends and only Reality remains. As the Beloved.

As the Love. As You. Pure, self-shining Sentience. So,

"Lose yourself.

Lose yourself.

Escape from the black cloud that surrounds you.

Then you will see your own light, as radiant as the full moon.

Now enter that silence..."

This is the surest way to lose yourself.

What is your life about anyway?

Nothing but a struggle to be someone,

Nothing but a running from your own silence.
